This is Winston.  He is a 6 year old English Bulldog.  Mrs. T adopted Winston about a year ago.  His owners were going through a divorce and they could no longer keep him.  Winston loves to eat and sleep and basically just lay around the house.  Mrs. T says she has to coerce him and practically bribe him to go outside for a walk and after a few minutes, he is ready to go back home.  His stocky build and lack of exercise lends to his robust form.

Mrs. T called me to come take a look at Winston after he apparently over exerted himself on their morning walk and came home with a limp.  As I walked in the door, Winston’s whole body wiggled with excitement.  He was so happy to see me.  I examined his hind leg and came to the conclusion that he had pulled a ligament in his knee.  My doctors orders… rest for one week!  Limited walks and plenty of food and water!  Winston was so happy when he heard that, he rolled over onto his side so I could rub his belly.  Just what he had been dreaming of, plenty of rest and plenty of love.
